Think and Grow Rich Highlights

Think and Grow Rich Highlights

Books & Highlights
My latest highlights post. From Napolean Hill’s Think and Grow Rich.   Page 9 I had learned, from years of experience with men, that when a man really DESIRES a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire future on a single turn of the wheel in order to get it, he is sure to win.   Page 10 Psychologists have correctly said that "when one is truly ready for a thing, it puts in its appearance."   Page 10 What a different story men would have to tell if only they would adopt a DEFINITE PURPOSE, and stand by that purpose until it had time to become an all- consuming obsession!   Page 11 That is one of the tricks of opportunity. Relationship Goals Idea – Top 10 Problems To Solve

Goals & Plans
Those who kept warm relationships got to live longer and happier, said Waldinger, and the loners often died earlier. “Loneliness kills,” he said. “It’s as powerful as smoking or alcoholism.” The quote above is from this article about happiness and health, and I will try to sum it up with yet another quote: Close relationships, more than money or fame, are what keep people happy throughout their lives, the study revealed. Right after reading the article, I started thinking about one of my past goals which is about my relationship with my girlfriend. I clearly knew that I had to do some stuff in order to get my business to a higher level of income, it was one of my goals I reviewed daily, and worked so hard to reach. Yet, it didn’t…

How Not To Train For A 10km Run

Health & Fitness, Mood & Motivation
About 3 months ago, I learned that there will be a marathon in Istanbul, Turkey on November 12th. My first reaction was: I have to be in this thing. By no means I am a marathon runner. The longest distance I ran up to that date was probably around 8-9kms, but I had a great urge to participate in the event. The event had 15km and 10km categories as well, so I decided to do a 10km. Why So Enthusiastic? I don’t know exactly why I was very enthusiastic to participate in this event but I think it was a combination of these things: 1. I Like Running Even though I never ran a marathon before, I enjoy running a lot, and I do it regularly almost every week for…

Tips to Not Forget About Your Goals

Tips to Not Forget About Your Goals

Goals & Plans
Even if you don’t want to take any action towards your goals, it is still beneficial to keep them in mind. Having goals in mind can direct your actions in a way that you actually end up doing things towards your goals without being consciously aware of it. So here are my four tips to not forget about goals: Make plans to reach your goals This one is my preferred method to not forget about goals. By having plans for goals, and working according to these plans, goals come to mind naturally and frequently. Doing this not only keeps goals in mind but also forces one to do things to reach goals. Set reminders to go over your goals If you don’t want to make any plans, an easy way…
